The poet Robert Frost wrote a poem titled "Tree at my window".
In 2007, the Maple tree that inspired the poem was felled due to disease and storm damage.

On November 10th, 1888 the cargo ship Iberia was sunk off the coast of Long Island NY. Part of her cargo was 28,000 crates of Dates. The pen shown at left is made from one of the packing crates from this wreck.

On July 25 1956 the passenger liner Andrea Doria sank after being struck by the Swedish liner Stockholm.
The pens shown are made from wood salvaged from the Andrea Doria in July, 2004. These pens are available in a very limited edition.
